SHANGHAI yesterday announced it had set up a comprehensive air corridor between Hongqiao International Airport and Hong Kong airport to beef up the connection between the two cities.
In September, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Hong Kong Dragon Airlines and Hong Kong Airlines launched 25 return flights between Hongqiao and Hong Kong airports.
In Shanghai, most flights to Hong Kong are connected to the Pudong International Airport, which is farther away from the city's downtown areas than the smaller Hongqiao airport.
