Juneyao Airlines to offer Shanghai-Okinawa flights

SHANGHAI-BASED Juneyao Airlines will launch four flights a week between Shanghai and Okinawa in Japan from August, the private carrier's first international route, it announced today.

The flight HO1279/1280 will take off at 10:30am from Pudong International Airport on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday and return at 2:30pm local time.

The airline will use an Airbus 320 passenger plane on the route. The flights will take about two hours between the two cities.

The ticket price of the new route has yet to be decided, a Juneyao Airline press official said today.

Juneyao Group owns Juneyao Airline.

China Eastern Airlines is currently the only carrier that operates flights between Shanghai and Okinawa.
