Production Starts At Battery Plant
CHINA Aviation Lithium Battery yesterday started production at a 3.6 billion yuan (US$556.3 million) industrial park in Luoyang City, Henan Province.
The industrial park, the biggest of its kind in China, covers a floor area of 320,000 square meters and will be capable of producing 1.2 billion Ah lithium batteries annually and 350,000 sets of battery application systems, said the company, a subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corp of China.
The company spent 300 million yuan on research and development for the Ah lithium battery production line.
AVIC General Manager Lin Zuoming said AVIC has raised more than 1.3 billion yuan from equity markets to increase China Aviation Lithium Battery's capital for further development.
