Plenty of food options at In77 shopping mall
IN77 boasts a nice combination of features. The commercial complex is attached to Longxiang Bridge Station along Metro Line 1, making it convenient to access without having to get stuck in traffic. It also has trendy fashion brands and is only steps from West Lake, allowing visitors the best of both shopping and sightseeing.
As one might expect from a modern shopping mall, there’s also a strong selection of restaurants and cafes. Shanghai explores In77’s food and beverage scene and recommends three places.
StayReal Cafe is owned by Chen Hsin-hung, the lead singer of Taiwanese rock band Mayday. Not surprisingly, the cafe attracts many Mayday fans who see it as a way to get closer to their idol.
Dreams and youth are two common themes in Mayday’s music and this continues at StayReal.
The signature dish is a strawberry muffin. It is dotted with cream, ice cream and strawberries and is served hot from the oven.
The cafe also serves two Hangzhou-style beverages that are popular with locals. The first is Longjing coffee, which is Longjing tea blended with coffee. It has a mellow fragrance and taste. The second is Longjing osmanthus iced tea, which combines two Hangzhou favorites for a refreshing drink.
Next to the cafe is the fashion brand shop of the same name, which is also operated by Chen. He has designed a collection of clothes geared toward youngsters.
Both the cafe and clothing store feature similar decor. Some of the patterns on the clothes can be seen on the cafe’s walls.

This time-honored brand originated from Changsha in Hunan Province and has had its share of ups and downs since being founded in 1893. This is the first Yang Yuxing, (yuxing means prosperous), in Hangzhou.
Unlike other noodle stores which use machine made noodles, Yang Yuxing makes handmade noodles that are cooked al dente. Its signature dish is egg noodles, which are made of a flour and egg mixture.
To cater to different guests, the restaurant has expanded its menu options that now includes shrimp, crab roe, chicken and beef. There’s also a variety of sauces to choose.
In addition to yummy noodles, the store also attracts diners with its low prices for a filling meal.

Bistro X Restaurant
This low-profile bistro has two signature dishes — ice cream, along with beef rice and black truffle sauce.
The varieties of ice cream include mango, durian and pistachio. In order to guarantee freshness, the store makes its own ice cream using milk imported from France and fresh fruit. The result is a smooth tasting ice cream without that icy feel common among cheaper brands.
Rice covered with beef and black truffle sauce is another popular dish. Black truffles and Australian beef are not too common in ordinary restaurants, but in this bistro diners could savor these pricey ingredients at an affordable price.
