18 stations for Line 4
HANGZHOU'S Metro Line 4 will have 18 stations, all underground, and run a total length of 20 kilometers, according to an environmental evaluation report posted online for public discussion.
It is the first environmental evaluation report on the subway line. It was posted on the Metro operator's official website at www.hzmetro.com.
Construction of Metro Line 4 is one of the city's key urban construction projects this year, Hangzhou Party secretary Huang Kunming said earlier.
Other projects include the second phase of Metro Line 2, construction of the airport highway and Zhizi Tunnel, and the revamp of Yan'an and Xixi roads and Yanjiang Boulevard.
Metro Line 4 will run from Dongguan Road Station in Puyan Town to Pengbu Station.
The subway will link with Line 1 at East Railway Station and Jinjiang Station and with Line 2 at Qianjiang Road Station.
Meanwhile, Metro Line 1 passengers going from Linping Station in Yuhang District to Xianghu Station in Xiaoshan District across the Qiantang River will no longer need to change trains halfway after June 1. And the interval between trains will be shortened from nine minutes to about seven.
