2018 talent competition

A promotional meeting for an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Overseas Talent 2018, Hangzhou, was held in Boston and Atlanta in the USA last week.
The competition will be divided into overseas Chinese student entrepreneur and foreigner entrepreneur sessions. Individual or team participants, who have made the overseas competition’s finals, will be invited to participate in the 2018 Zhejiang-Hangzhou International Human Resources Exchanges and Cooperation Conference and win a 20,000-yuan (US$3,145) reward.
After entering the Hangzhou finals in November, the first, second and third winners will be given monetary rewards of 50,000 yuan to 200,000 yuan. The winning projects that are commercialized within a year in Hangzhou will receive subsidies of 5 million, 3 million and 2 million yuan respectively according to classification of their evaluation. Meanwhile, other commercialized projects can also win funding from 200,000 yuan to 1 million yuan.
The projects can also enjoy preferential policies offered by local governments where they are registered. Other than the maximum 15 million yuan project funding, there are also tax deduction and exemptions in the industrial park, renting allowance, financing guarantees and subsidized interest.
In the past three years the competitions have introduced 70 winning projects with a total registered capital of 600 million yuan.
