24 stations for new Metro

METRO Line 7 from downtown Hangzhou to the Xiaoshan International Airport will have 24 stations, under the new project plan.
The 40-kilometer subway will run from Wushan Square to Hangzhou Railway Station, Qianjiang New Town and Qianjiang Century Town before reaching the airport. It will cross with lines 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6. Line 7 is faster from downtown to the airport than Line 1 because it has fewer stops.
The third phase of Line 1, first phase of Line 3 and Line 9, the second phase of Line 5 and Line 6, will all be under construction this year, the Hangzhou Development and Reform Commission said.
No timetable has been set for the construction of Metro Line 7 as the project is awaiting approval from the National Development and Reform Commission.
