4G service launched

China Mobile launched its fastest wireless service in Hangzhou on Wednesday and signed deals with a dozen mobile phone makers, including Samsung, HTC and Xiaomi, to make handsets based on its 4G network. It is also in talks with Apple on 4G iPhones.
Hangzhou, Wenzhou and Ningbo are the first batch of cities in mainland to offer 4G services with a transmission speed 20-50 times faster than the current 3G network.
