Asian Games bid

Hangzhou has submitted a bid to host the 2022 Asian Games, the Chinese Olympic Committee said last week.
The Olympic Council of Asia will decide on the host city of the 2022 Asian Games on September 16 in Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan.
If Hangzhou wins, it will be the third the games will be held in China after Beijing in 1990 and Guangzhou in 2010. Beijing was named the host city of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games last month.
