Becks to visit city
BRITISH soccer and style star David Beckham may visit Hangzhou in June as the global ambassador of Chinese Super League, according to the Zhejiang Football Association.
Beckham is expected to visit Shanghai and Nanjing as well, as all three cities are home to China Super League teams.
If confirmed, it will be Beckham's second trip to China as the ambassador of the sport and to promote football among Chinese children.
"The visit has yet to be confirmed because Beckham's stay in Paris, where he is playing for his current club Paris Saint-Germain, may affect the schedule," said Bao Zhongliang, deputy general manager of Hangzhou Lucheng FC.
