Better security

HANGZHOU Xiaoshan International Airport has raised the level of its security checks, effective from August 30, and advised passengers to be at the airport at least two hours before take-off.

One new molecular detection security scanner has been installed. All people entering the airport will be required to pass through the scanner.

Departing passengers will be advised to remove any metal objects, as well as belts, watches and shoes before scan procedures. Liquids, knives, toothpaste and hair sprays must be put in checked luggage.

Female passengers carrying cosmetics will be allowed a maximum 100 milliliters of creams or other substances, and they must be opened during security checks.
