Bus charger drafted

The design of a charging station for electric buses has been completed, the Hangzhou State Grid announced yesterday.

It will be the city’s first charging station for electric buses and construction will be done in March. It will supply power for 100 of Hangzhou Bus Group’s fully electric buses. The station is close to Jiubao Long-Haul Bus Station in a parking lot. Once in operation, the 100 electric buses will be put into service on routes yet to be decided.

Charging takes around two hours for 100 to 120 kilometers. Changing batteries takes around 15 minutes.
