Calligraphy park

A CALLIGRAPHY theme park is being built in the West Lake scenic area and will be completed by the end of this year, Xihu District officials have said. The park is by Pingji Hill and is 32.3 hectares, about the size of 44 soccer fields. It will have a museum to display calligraphy masterpieces from various periods. The famous Xiling Seal Society will move some workshops to the park and Hangzhou Library will store calligraphy books at the park. There will be a stationary shop to sell Chinese writing brushes, ink sticks, ink stones, and special paper for calligraphy and ink painting.
