City GDP rises 8%
Hangzhou’s gross domestic product rose 8 percent in the first half of this year to 363.247 billion yuan (US$59.25 billion), according to Hangzhou Statistics Bureau. The growth rate is 0.4 percentage points higher than the national average.
The per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents is 21,492 yuan and 12,263 yuan respectively, climbing 9.1 percent and 10.2 percent.
The city’s fiscal revenue in the first six months amounted to 98.905 billion yuan, increasing 7.9 percent from a year earlier.
The 10 pillar industries in Hangzhou generated added value of 167.32 billion yuan in the first half, up 11.8 percent year on year, accounting for 46.1 percent of GDP.
Among the 10 key industries, the e-business section witnessed the highest year-on-year increase at 52.7 percent to 14.975 billion yuan. And the creative industry contributed 58.772 billion yuan, up 18.7 percent from a year earlier.
