Cultural and creative forum

The 16th Universities鈥 Alliance Across the Strait on Cultural Creative Industries Research Forum opened at Jianguo Hotel in Hangzhou last Saturday, focusing on the theme of China鈥檚 aesthetics and innovative Expressions.
Hosted by Hangzhou Office of Cultural Industries and Universities鈥 Alliance Across the Strait this year, the forum attracted universities from Chinese mainland and Taiwan, as well as research institutions, industry associations, and more than 300 guests from cultural industries.
Pan Yunhe, former executive vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, gave a speech on digital innovative industries; Huang Pi-twan, former president of Tainan University of the Arts, spoke on the Chinese characteristics in online literatures; and Tsai Chih Chung, famous cartoonist in Taiwan, talked about the animation and cultural innovation industries.
Four sub academic forums were also held including China鈥檚 aesthetics and cultural inheritance, urban development and cultural spaces, specialty cultural innovations and regional economy, and digital innovation and Internet plus.
