Hangzhou has 366,862 pieces or sets of movable cultural relics, according to the first national survey of portable cultural relics from 2012 to 2017.
Among them, 1,205 are first-grade, 6,908 second-grade, 39,639 third-grade, 51,585 are ordinary cultural relics while the grades for the rest 257,831 haven’t been decided yet. In addition, there are 9,694 specimens or fossils.
By mid of November, Hangzhou archeologists had unearthed 3,050 pieces or sets of cultural relics.
After the survey, each of the removable cultural relics now has an ID, including a serial number, name, picture with the information of time, category, size, quantity and the degree of completeness or damage.
In 2017, Hangzhou Museum was deemed a first-class national museum by the state government and the museum exhibited nearly 400 movable cultural relics, including a crystal from the Warring States (475-221 BC).
