THE added value of Hangzhou's culture and creation industry amounted to nearly 44.77 billion yuan in the first six months of the year, rising 13.7 percent from a year ago.
The figure accounted for 13.3 percent of the city's GDP in the period.
The industry's revenue reached 85.76 billion yuan in the first half, up 15.2 percent year-on-year. Total profit was 8.6 billion yuan, an increase of 30.8 percent.
Driven by the China International Cartoon and Animation Festival, Hangzhou continues to lead the industry within China.
