Design museum

Construction of the China International Design Museum began recently and it is expected to be complete next year.
The museum will house 7,010 Bauhaus-style artworks, architectural designs and furniture. The Hangzhou government paid 55 million euros (US$78.1 million) to buy these art objects from a German collector, Torsten Broehan, in 2011. The collection spans periods from the mid-19th century to the entire 20th century.
