Developing the outsourcing industry

THE 3rd International Outsourcing Business Development Summit is to be held in the Zhejiang Narada Grand Hotel from today until Wednesday.

With the improvement of global business communication being its aim, the summit centers on expanding domestic outsourcing demand and developing global offshore outsourcing.

It also pays close attention to industry convergence and cooperation between large and medium-size enterprises, financial institutions and professional service providers from home and abroad in the field of service outsourcing.

Participants invited to the summit include officials from Fortune 500 enterprises and executives of world-famous outsourcing companies. President of the Institute of International Finance lan Mullen, Senior Vice President of Fuji Xerox James Jenkins and the CEO of Hitachi Michael Travis will attend.

The summit has been successfully held twice in the past two years and has created a brand effect.

The summit in 2009 focused on the theme "New Vision of Global Outsourcing Business."

The summit was organized by the Hangzhou municipal government in association with Hangzhou Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau, with support from several world-famous outsourcing consulting institutions such as International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) and the International Finance Facility (IFF).

Attendance figures reached 250 including representatives from Fortune 500 companies, international offshore outsourcing consulting institutions and well-known enterprises in the financial field.

The summit has now become a well-known brand in the outsourcing industry in China due to it being widespread and on a large scale.

Last year, a total of 22 international outsourcing projects were issued by the international outsourcing observation group, which was comprised by over 30 outsourcing companies. Ten projects were ultimately signed during the summit. One-to-one communications were also made between 30 international outsourcers and 60 matched Hangzhou enterprises.

Bringing real benefits to both domestic service providers and international outsourcers, the summit has greatly enhanced their business cooperation and communication, building a good foundation for future development.
