HANGZHOU Metro operator is seeking advice for English names for the 18 stations on Line 4 after the city government approved the Chinese names.
The new subway will run from Puyan Road Station in Binjiang District to Pengbu Station in Jianggan District.
It will connect with Line 1 at Jinjiang Station, Pengbu Station and East Railway Station, and Line 2 at Qianjiang Road Station. Eventually, it will connect with lines 5, 6, 7 and 9.
All 18 stations on Line 4 are underground. The 20.8-kilometer subway cost more than 14 billion yuan (US$2.35 billion).
City officials said construction on Line 4 and the second phase of Line 2 will start this year.
The first phase of Line 4 is scheduled for completion next year.
