Expo opens today

The 15th West Lake International Expo opens in Hangzhou today.
The expo aims to attract US$1 billion in foreign investment, 10 billion yuan (US$1.58 million) in domestic investment and more than 8 million visitors during the 29-day event.
The opening ceremony will be held at Zhejiang World Trade International Exhibition Center without the usual fireworks extravaganza and lavish reception banquet as the city follows the central government’s lead in reducing unnecessary spending.
During the expo, visitors can check out some cool things such as soccer matches between robots, 3D video games, vintage Ferrari cars and Chinese folk arts.
The expo ends on November 9.
