Festival of photos
THE Seventh Hangzhou Citizen Photography Festival will be held through June with the theme “Me and City.”
Photographs featuring the Hangzhou government’s endeavors in protecting the natural environment and the city’s public transportation network will be the focus of this year’s festival.
Thousands of photos will be displayed on Solitary Hill, Bai Causeway in the West Lake scenic area, China Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum and Hangzhou Library.
Since its debut in 2008, the festival has collected more than 70,000 photos, of which 10,000 have been exhibited. It’s one more way Hangzhou introduces itself to the world. It focuses on ordinary people, with the idea of recording changes in their lives.
