Fish festival begins

The Qiandao Lake Organic Fish Festival opens today in Chun’an, a county town west of Hangzhou. About 800,000 fish fries and 10,000 Chinese soft-shelled turtles will be released into the lake.
Festival visitors can explore a fishery museum and an exhibition of fish-themed artworks created by French artists. Those feeling really enthusiastic can try drag-net fishing. The festival is co-organized by the Zhejiang Maritime and Fishery Department and the Chun’an government.
