Flights rise 13%

TOTAL flights to and from Xiaoshan International Airport reached 102,600 in the first half of this year, up 13 percent from a year earlier. The growth is the fastest among China’s 10 busiest airports.

Passengers reached 12.21 million during the first six months, rising 15.5 percent from a year ago. Meanwhile, the airport transported 186,000 tons of cargo, jumping 7.4 percent compared to the same period in 2013.

Hainan Airlines will launch a Hangzhou-Paris flight next month. Flight HU7907 will depart Hangzhou at 9:15pm every Wednesday and Saturday, stop in Xi’an, capital of Shaanxi Province, and arrive at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris at 7:35am.

Return flight HU7908 will depart Paris at 2:25pm, stop in Xi’an at 7am the next day, and arrive in Hangzhou at 11:05am. All times are local time.
