Foreign volunteers

SEVERAL foreign volunteers will work at Hangzhou Yanglingzi School for about one month to help children with amentia, autism and other mental diseases.

A college student from Ukraine, named Mina, began to work in the school recently. She has a major in business management and is a representative of the Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales.

Mina will help a class of 12 children study mathematics, Chinese and English and guide them in rehabilitation therapy and outdoor exercises. She will talk with children in English, work as a teaching assistant, play games with them, bring them to their parents after school, and do house cleaning.

It’s the third year Yanglingzi School has invited foreign volunteers. Last semester it had volunteers from Italy, Australia and Malaysia. Volunteers this semester come from Ukraine, Sri Lanka and a few other countries.
