Free audio guides
VISITORS to Qinghefang, a famous historical street in downtown Hangzhou, can now get a free audio guide tour to the area in four languages.
The audio guides are offered in English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese at four places along the street.
A refundable deposit of 100 yuan (US$15.6) is required.
Every year more than 16 million visitors wander down the street with Ming (1368-1644) and Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) buildings on both sides.
Inside the old buildings, visitors can have a close look at the traditional Chinese medicine store Huqingyutang, the fan manufacturer Wangxingji, the scissor maker Zhangxiaoquan and the former residence of Hu Xueyan, the founder of Huqingyutang.
