THERE are a number of plays and concerts taking place in Hangzhou during the Christmas season.
Today and tomorrow, Stan Lai's drama "Just Play It" will be staged at Hangzhou Grand Theater.
The play tells the story of American pianist John Vaughan who becomes friends with a blind student, Xu Zhecheng, from Taiwan. Xu is a talented piano player and his performance captivates Vaughan. They talk through music including blues and classical to pop and old Taiwan songs.
The play combines drama and music nicely.
Meanwhile, Wenzel Fuchs, Berlin Philharmonic's principal clarinet will perform tonight in cooperation with the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra.
