Gas price hike

The Hangzhou Price Bureau will hold a public hearing next month on raising gas prices. A total of 27 people have been asked to attend, including 10 consumer representatives, a gas company executive, two experts, and others.

The hearing will help the bureau to adjust gas prices accordingly in downtown Hangzhou. The new price structure will not include Xiaoshan, Yuhang and Fuyang districts.

The city’s current gas price is 2.40 yuan per cubic meter, the lowest among cities in Zhejiang Province and ranking 17th among the 36 major cities in China.
