Grand Canal IT center plans
Gongshu District plans to set up an IT hub in the north of the city near the Grand Canal.
Leading Chinese IT conglomerates, including Huawei, Qihoo 360 and Sina, will be established there by the end of this year. Lenovo, S.F. Express and 58.com are expected to set up branches after securing land in the hub, which is at the northeast of the crossing of Shixiang and Gongkang roads.
With a total area of 500,000 square meters, Joy City will be open to public before November. After completion, it will be a landmark commercial complex along Moganshan Road in Gongshu District.
The construction of Grand Canal Central Park, theater, and the Asian Games Park will be completed and open by 2022. The Grand Canal Asian Games Park will host table tennis and hockey events during the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou.
