‘Green’ buses added

The city will put 321 buses fueled by liquefied natural gas on the road by year’s end to reduce automobile emissions.

The LNG buses bought by Hangzhou Public Transport Group Co Ltd are environmentally friendly and fuel efficient. However, officials said it is difficult to immediately replace all diesel buses with the LNG buses due to the limited number of natural gas fueling stations.

Currently, there are only two LNG stations for buses in Hangzhou.

The city has a total of 1,108 clean-energy vehicles, including 343 LNG vehicles, accounting for 19.35 percent of all the buses in the city.
