FORTHE latest in Hangzhou travel tips, “Hangzhou Fabu,” the official WeChat account of Hangzhou Information Office, offers updates and other information on popular tourist destinations.
Tap “Hangzhou Tong” (found on the bottom bar of “Hangzhou Fabu”) to find an array of links offering information on every aspect of Hangzhou life.
“Scenic spot crowd status,” for example, provides a real-time chart of crowd density at scenic spots as well as crowd data from the past four days.
The real-time chart monitors crowds in 12 popular sightseeing areas: Qianjiang New Town, Wulin Square, the Music Fountain, Su Causeway, Broken Bridge, Lingyin Temple, Gushan Park, Yongjin Square, Fish Viewing at the Flower Pond, Orioles Singing in the Willows, Leifeng Pagoda, and Taiziwan Park.
Through “Hangzhou Tong,” visitors can make hospital appointments, check their social welfare accounts, and find bus and Metro information or other public services. It also provides an audio guide for travelers, but the service is only in Chinese for the time being.
