Hangzhou’s stories

HANGZHOU Story, a book written by Norwegian Chinese Ma Lie, tells colorful stories set in Hangzhou and has been distributed in the UK, Spain and the Netherlands.
Ma from Hangzhou has written more than 100 stories with pictures or drawings so far, covering scenery spots, Grand Canal, famous Chinese brands and precious historical material. He started the project about six months ago.
“I think of the book writing when taking a walk or a nap. Whenever I have something in mind, I will get up and write them down,” Ma said.
“Both my grandsons like to listen to my stories about Hangzhou, even in Oslo,” Ma said. When his two grandsons visited the West Lake in March, Ma told them his stories.
Ma is the chairman of European Fellowship of Hangzhou and of the Norwegian China Peaceful Reunification Association.
