Hero driver
A broken windshield and a steering wheel were transported to the Zhejiang Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial as part of a tribute in honor of Wu Bin, the Hangzhou bus driver who lost his life after saving 24 passengers in May.
Wu, 48, who worked for No. 2 Long-distance Passenger Co, was hit by a flying piece of a drum brake while he was driving from Wuxi to Hangzhou on May 29.
Despite being severely injured, Wu managed to stop the bus, open the door and evacuate all the passengers safely. A surveillance camera on the bus recorded the entire incident. Wu died of his injuries in hospital on June 1.
Hangzhou authorities plan to hold an exhibition in his honor in September.
