Highway and transport hubs

Hangzhou Construction Commission announced plans for 10 highway and transport hub projects in 2018.

The 10 projects are the renovation of Liuxia Interchange, west extension of Wenyi Road, Genshan Highway, Shidai Avenue, Fengqing Avenue, Tongcheng Avenue, east extension of Airport Highway, Liuxiang Road, Binjiang No. 2 Road and renovation of Jiangdong Avenue.

The underground of Wenyi Road, Wangqiu Interchange, northern extension of Donghu Highway and northern extension of Qiushi Highway will also be completed by the end of this year.

Hangzhou published an action plan of constructing a highway network from 2017 to 2020 on June 21, 2017, vowing to set up a highway network of 464 kilometers before 2022 Asian Games in the city. So far 182 kilometers of highways have been completed. Hangzhou also has plans for 6,000 parking spaces and 500 charging poles for electric vehicles in the downtown area by the end of 2018.
