REPAIR work on the highway-railway interchange section of Shida Expressway has begun, according to Hangzhou's traffic authority. The project will last until August 31.
Half of the second lane and the third lane will be closed for construction while the first lane and half of the second lane will remain open during the first phase of the project.
The first lane and half of the second lane will be shut during the second phase of construction.
The on-ramp of Shida Expressway heading downtown at Jianding Road from east to west will also be closed during the project.
The city's traffic department has advised drivers traveling between Linping and downtown Hangzhou to take the Qiushi Elevated Road via 320 National Expressway, Linding Road or Hanghai Road to avoid the under-construction section.
