Ideas earn prizes

Ideas to better govern Hangzhou are being collected by the Fourth Qian Xuesen Urbanology Award and West Lake Urbanology Award, with reward money up to 100,000 yuan (US$16,526).
The methodology to “protect and utilize cultural heritage,” to “control city haze,” to “serve and manage the floating population in creative way,” to “solve urban traffic jams,” and to make “a fair, quality education and education revolution” are sought by two awards.
Winners of the Qian Xuesen Urbanology Award will include one golden award winner and 10 nominees. The golden award winner will receive 100,000 yuan as prize money, and the 10 nominated participants will receive 10,000 yuan each.
Winners of the West Lake Urbanology Award will include one golden award winner of 50,000 yuan and 10 nominees earning 5,000 yuan.
