Income rises
Per capita income of Hangzhou鈥檚 urban residents increased 8.7 percent while it jumped 9.6 percent for those living in the city鈥檚 rural areas in the first three quarters of this year, the city鈥檚 statistics bureau said.
The bureau said online shopping jumped 28.3 percent year on year to 71.28 billion yuan (US$11.23 billion) in the first three quarters, while the city鈥檚 GDP grew 10.2 percent to 710 billion yuan.
The service sector generated 58.2 percent of the city鈥檚 GDP, 4.3 percentage points more than the same period of last year.
The technology sector achieved business turnover of 200.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 44.1 percent.
Hangzhou鈥檚 air quality also improved this year with 80.2 percent of the days meeting the PM2.5 standard.
