THE average income of urban workers in Hangzhou rose to 42,493 yuan last year, up 9.4 percent from 38,837 yuan in 2011, the Hangzhou Human Resources and Social Security Bureau said this week.
The data is collected from employees of state-owned enterprises, foreign-invested companies, private firms and collective businesses. It doesn't include self-employed people.
The average income of urban workers in Hangzhou was 34,330 yuan in 2010 and 30,480 yuan in 2009.
