Infrastructure cash injection
ZHEJIANG Province is set to introduce 301 major projects involving 2.95 trillion yuan (US$464 billion) in the next five years to boost its infrastructure construction, transportation, ecological environment, public facilities, hi-tech industries and public-private partnership projects.
A one-hour traffic circle is planned along with 2,000 kilometers of rail and 1,000km of highway, to the tune of a 795.6-billion-yuan investment.
Four major projects have been planned to promote the integrated development of the ports and the Yangtze River Economic Belt in Zhejiang, as well as the renovation of airports in Hangzhou Xiaoshan, Ningbo Lishe and Wenzhou Longwan and the acceleration of Ningbo Ningnan Trade and Logistics Zone, and the Yiwu International Inland Port Zone.
The province will initiate 100 flood control and drainage, tideland reclamation and treatment, and water conservancy projects, each involving 100 billion yuan. Clean energies, digital economy and the health industry will also see investment.
