Those who travel abroad to splurge on cosmetics, baby products, home appliances, clothes and other consumer goods will be delighted at the opening of a cross-border trading town in Xiacheng District which sells imported products at the same price as abroad.

The town, a complex of halls about the size of 400 football fields, groups dealers by country in Italian, Bulgarian, Australian, South Korean, Japanese and Spanish halls.

Shoppers go to Italian Hall for wines, coffee and chocolates, to Bulgarian Hall for rose essential oil and hand-made yogurt, and to Spanish Hall for olive oil and hams.

The town’s operator plans to open a cross-border life experience hub in the first half of this year. Cirque du Soleil, the world-famous circus troupe, will also open a venue here in 2018.

There will also be an IMAX cinema.
