Hangzhou Shiwai International School was established last week, the fourth school of its kind in the city. The school will recruit about 50 overseas children in the coming semester.
The international school provides education from primary school to high school. It shares a campus with Hangzhou Shanghai World Foreign Language Primary School, a private bilingual primary school.
Both schools are co-funded by Gongshu District government and JuneYao Group, a local enterprise with a focus on industry investment.
The city also owns Hangzhou International School, Chinese International School Hangzhou, and Hangzhou Japanese School. These schools only accept overseas-passport holders.
