Italy, China join on design

THE opening Ceremony for Belt and Road Initiative China-Italy Industrial Design Cooperation was held last week at Town of Designers, Hangzhou, to launch the Asian executive committee for the ADI Compasso d鈥橭ro Award.
The 60-year-old Italian award promotes the integration of art and industry and later became a top prize in the field of design.
In 2004, Italy said winning pieces would become national heritages. Italy has much in common with China鈥檚 manufacturing strategy and both parties agreed to extend collaboration.
