THE First West Lake Culture Ambassador Awards Ceremony was held last weekend, with Weng Qianyue of Toronto University and Feng Qiming of Zhejiang Agriculture and Forestry University the recipients.
The West Lake Culture Ambassador post is part of the Hangzhou Undergraduate Tourism Festival.
At the event, college students who love the West Lake were recruited to participate in world cultural heritage protection and help publicize the lake overseas.
A total of 45 candidates have been enrolled in the next second West Lake Culture Ambassador activity.
They will attend a training camp in July to help them get an insight into protecting the West Lake.
