Metro station

Construction has finished on the main part of downtown Hangzhou's Wulin Square Station on the city's Metro Line 1, according to Hangzhou Metro Group. The line is expected to be open to the public by next October.

The accessory structure of the station, construction of which started in October 2008, is still being built. The station, 161.75 meters long and 36.6 meters wide, will extend three levels underground.

The station's B1 level will hold various retailers and link shopping malls nearby. The B2 level will contain precision equipment only accessed by staff elevators. The B3 level is designed as an island platform with trains heading in opposite directions on either side.

The station designed to have five gates will also become a transfer hub between Line 1 and Line 3 in the future. The planned Wulin Square complex above the station is expected to cover 243,000 square meters and integrate hotels, office buildings with shopping malls and recreational facilities, aiming to develop into the city's largest one-stop commercial hub.
