The Zhejiang Development and Reform Commission has approved the feasibility study report on the first-phase construction of Metro Line 4. The planned subway is 20.8 kilometers long with 18 underground stations. Total investment is estimated at 14.35 billion yuan.
The new subway will intersect with Metro Line 1 at the stations of Jinjiang, Pengbu and East Railway Station and with Line 2 at Qianjiang Road Station. It will also connect with Line 5, 6, 7 and 9. Both Metro Line 4 and the second phase of Metro Line 2 are expected to be under construction this year.
