Looking back on G20

MORE than 2,000 people attended a meeting last week to review efforts made by Hangzhou City and Zhejiang Province to host the G20 Summit and to commend individuals for their outstanding work.
A letter from Chinese President Xi Jinping was read at the meeting. He praised the people of Hangzhou and all parties involved for their contributions to the G20 Summit, which was a success in terms of organization, media coverage, security and logistical support.
“The G20 Hangzhou Summit showed the world the spirit and strength of China and the charms of the West Lake and Chinese civilization. It left a Chinese imprint in the G20 process,” Xi wrote.
“Hangzhou people made a major contribution to the success of the G20 Summit with their dedication and voluntary service. What they did is important for realizing the China Dream and the revitalization of the country,” he said.
