THE China Lotus Culture Exhibition opened at the China Wetland Museum in Hangzhou last week. As well as lotus blooms to view, there are some 150 photographs of the flowers, along with information on the plant - its use as food, medicine and its role in legends.
The free exhibition runs until October 25. Weekend visitors will be treated to Chinese music, lotus tea and lotus cakes. The museum is closed on Mondays.
