Love figured out
NEARLY 5,200 couples got married across the city last Friday, as the date number 2013-1-4 sounds like "Love you all my life" in Chinese. Many young couples consider it a special date for tying the knot. Some even booked the date two years in advance.
Xiaoshan District alone had 775 couples making marriage registrations according to the Hangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau.
Since 2008, dates that convey a special or auspicious meaning have become popular choices for marriage registrations.
On September 9, 2009, 3,561 couples got married in Hangzhou as the date reads like "Love you forever" in Chinese.
