Metro Line 5 progress

The first phase of Metro Line 5, from Central Park Station in Yuhang District to Xiangzhang Road Station in Xiaoshan District, is expected to be in operation by the end of 2019.
The 48-kilometer subway runs from Yuhang District in the northwest to Xiaoshan District in the south with 40 underground stations.
The subway will benefit seven districts, Xihu, Gongshu, Xiacheng, Shangcheng and Binjiang, and connect with Hangzhou-Shaoxing Intercity Railway and 10 Metro lines in the long term. The Hangzhou-Shaoxing Intercity Railway will connect Xiangzhang Road Station and Diyang Road Station in Keqiao of Shaoxing. With a total length of 20.3km, the intercity railway will be in operation by the end of 2020.
