Metro Line extension

A 5.6-kilometer extension of Metro Line 1 is now open, bringing metro service to an estimated 200,000 people in the Xiasha area.
Hangzhou currently has three metro lines — Lines 1, 2 and 4 — covering 82 kilometers.
Work is now being done to extend Line 2, with eight new stations and 11.8 kilometers of track expected to come online in 2018. Construction is also underway on the first phases of Metro Lines 5 and 6, both slated for service in 2019.
